I've been flying RC sailplanes for many years. So I was surprised to find this copter to be so compelling and fun. Here's why. It's quite easy to learn how to hover and creep around. But learning how to do more than that is a real challenge.
Flying faster with the nose down and doing carving turns where your roll, yaw and pitch are all coordinated takes a lot of practice. And I have 25 years of RC sailplane experience and can put any of my planes in pretty much any attitude I want without even thinking about it. So this challenge aspect makes the copter fun.
But here's the coolest part about his copter. I've never had an RC flying device that is more durable than this copter. Bar none. I've piled into the ground, at high speed, figuring it was going to fly into a hundred pieces but no damage! I've repeatedly done this. Truly amazing.
